Stanserhorn Excursion

Tour description: You will reach the mountain by public train. The modern railway system in Switzerland will not fail to impress you. After a five minute walk, you will find yourself in a quaint historic village in the heart of central Switzerland. Take a glimpse into the past on board the original wooden mountain train from 1893 and take a step into the future when you transfer to the openair gondola at the mid station. The Cabrio is the only one of its kind in the whole world! Your guide will escort you to Lucerne by train.

Insiders tips: The Rangers are volunteer workers on site. You will recognize them by their uniforms and neverending knowledge of the area. Be sure to chat with them if you want your visit to be educational!

Mt Rigi Tour

Tour description: Cruise on Lake Lucerne for one hour until your reach the foot of the mountain lo-cated in a charming lake-side village. Ascend to the summit on board Eu-rope´s Oldest cogwheel Railway for a view loved by royals, poets, artists and tourists alike. On a clear day, you can enjoy views of 13 lakes and even see to the Black Forest. Treat yourself to a typical swiss meal at the restau-rant or go for a walk before you descend via cogwheel train to the base. Your guide will escort you to Lucerne via one of the most modern railway systems.

What we love about it: Mt Rigi has a background of alps and Lakes further than your eye can reach. Indisputably one of the best views of the region!

Insiders tip: If you are looking for a thrill, then reach the mid-station (Rigi Kulm) via aerial car and take a leisurely walk to the white chapel. Afterwards, you can get on the next cogwheel to the top and continue with the itinerary.

Mt. Pilatus Tour

Ride the ferry to the base on the mountain, then ride the steepest cogwheel train in the world to the top of Mt. Pilatus at 7,000 ft (2,128 m). Enjoy panorama views of mountains, lakes and villages, indulge in the local cuisine, or take a walk at through the “Dragons Cave”. Descend via gondola to the opposite side of the mountain and return with your guide by public bus to Lucerne’s city center.

What we love about it: This is the closest mountain to the city and therefore easily accessible. At 7000 feet/ 21286 meters it is also the the highest mountain around Lake Lucerne.

Insiders tip: If time and weather permit, be adventurous and race down the longest summer toboggan in Switzerland!
